What is the Color Picker?
Within knitCompanion, there are numerous areas where you can apply color. For example, your preferred highlight color, row marker color, or colors you are using in a chart.
To apply color, use the Color Picker, which provides unlimited color choices. Show Me
Use the Color Picker to:
- Select a recently used color. About Recent Colors.
- Use the Color Wheel to select a color and set its Saturation, Brightness, and Opacity. Use the Color Wheel.
- Create Named Colors. About Named Colors.
Open the Color Picker
To open the Color Picker:
Select a Recent Color
The Color Picker is preloaded with ten colors, the color circles shown at the top above the Color Wheel.
To select a Recent Color, tap any of the Recent Color circles to apply a color and close the Color Picker. Show Me
Use the Color Wheel
To select a color using the Color Wheel:
- Slide the Color Selector around the Color Wheel and select your color. Show Me
- Set the Saturation, Brightness, and Opacity of your chosen color.
A sample of your color appears in the center of the Color Wheel. Show Me - Tap Select at the bottom to apply your color.
On some screen configurations you may need to scroll down.
Compare Colors
When you make additional color selections, both the new and existing colors are displayed in the center of the Color Wheel for comparison. The new color is shown on the right. Show Me
- To apply the new color (the color shown on the right), tap Select. The new color is applied and added to Recent Colors at the top. The Color Picker closes.
- To apply the old color (the color shown on the left), tap Cancel and choose the color again.
