  • Simplified interface with fewer screens and less navigation.
  • Supports iOS multi-tasking such as split screen and slide-over.
  • Six Simple Counters for each project.
  • Adjustable height bottom panel for ultimate screen flexibility.
  • Sliding Row and Stitch Markers for each page.
Essentials

  • Add text notes directly to your pattern without a popup.
  • Any number of simple counters that can count up or down and loop (3,2,1...3,2,1)
  • Easily add links for videos to any project.
  • No cropping required for Inverted Markers and Key.
  • Linked Counters provide action and repeat counters that advance together with a single tap. Linked Counters are similar to Smart Counters but are not tied to a specific piece and don't require cropping.

Setup+Essentials

  • Row Reminders and Smart Counters for Written Instructions
  • Check Grid enables you to check your setup in-line with a new grid visualizer. The grid adjusts as you crop for fine-tuning alignment.
  • Increased cropping precision so you can crop to exactly where you want.
  • Drag and Drop for multi-part pieces simplifies aligning parts by eliminating the need to enter alignment numbers manually.

1. Essentials and Setup + Essentials are enabled with an in-app purchase. All subscriptions purchased in Legacy kC restore as a Setup + Essentials subscription in iOS NextGen. Legacy licenses (non-subscription) can not be used in iOS NextGen. You can continue to use a legacy license in the Legacy kC App.

Migration Guide

Follow the steps below to migrate your projects, subscriptions1, and kCDesigns to kC NextGen for iOS.

The following steps will walk you through gathering all the required information from your Legacy kC app. The latest version of Legacy kC is 3.9.1 How to update.

  2. Tap the Gear upper right
  3. Your knitter's name is at the top of the page.

  6. Tap Start to begin the upload. You'll see the progress for each project and a green check when a project completes its upload.

Tips

  1. Don't leave the app while projects are uploading. If you do, it may not be able to complete uploading all the selected projects.
  2. You can always come back and upload more projects later. If you have a lot of projects or it's unable to complete all the uploads they can be done in batches.
  3. If you have a lot of projects uploading or your battery is low it is a good idea to plug in to power.

Use the information gathered from Legacy kC to migrate your projects.
